Sound as Sculpture
Explore sound as a physical material to transform space and the aural world.
Sound is more than just hearing but a physical presence in itself. In this course we will be
creating projects which utilize sound as a physical medium. Projects will include turning walls
and objects into resonating speakers, the manipulation of radios waves, and the incorporation of
sound, light, and the moving image together. This course introduces the aural world, and is great
for those who want new ways of experiencing their environmental surroundings, to the artist who
would like to develop inspiration for new material.
